The Solari Institute Privacy Policy
Effective: July 28, 2026
1. Scope and Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Solari LLC, doing business as The Solari Institute (the "Institute," "we," "us," or "our"), a program of Solari Advisory (solariadvisory.com), collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information in connection with this site and the Institute's online professional education and certification programs. Privacy questions and requests should be directed to [email protected].
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
(a) Account information: your name and email address, and any profile details you choose to provide.
(b) Purchase records: records of the programs you purchase and associated transaction details. Payment is processed by our payment processor; the Institute does not store full payment card numbers.
(c) Learning records: course progress, completion status, and time-in-content records generated as you move through a program.
(d) Examination records: your exam responses and scores. These are retained as part of the certification record and the continuing legal education (CLE) audit trail.
(e) Communications: messages you send to us, including support requests and correspondence with instructors or staff.
We collect this information directly from you and automatically through the course platform as you use it. We do not collect more than we need to deliver, administer, and verify the programs and credentials.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to: (a) create and administer your account and deliver the programs you purchase; (b) administer examinations, score results, and issue, maintain, verify, and where necessary revoke credentials; (c) process payments through our payment processor; (d) communicate with you about your enrollment, examination results, credential status, recertification deadlines, and material changes to the programs or these policies; (e) maintain the certification and CLE audit trail required for the integrity of the credential; and (f) comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.
We do not use customer data to train artificial intelligence models.
4. Public Credential Verification
Credentials are issued through Sertifier, our credentialing platform. Each issued credential has a public verification page that displays the credential holder's name, the credential earned, and its issue and expiry dates. This public display is inherent to the product: it is what allows employers, clients, and regulators to verify that a credential is genuine and current. By enrolling in a certification program, you consent to this display for as long as the credential is outstanding. If a credential lapses or is revoked, the verification page is updated accordingly.
5. Service Providers and Subprocessors
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the programs, and only as needed for that purpose: (a) Thinkific, which hosts the course platform and stores account, learning, and examination data; (b) our payment processor (Stripe, or such other processor as we configure), which processes payment transactions; (c) Sertifier, which issues credentials and operates the public verification pages described in Section 4; and (d) email and analytics providers as configured, which help us send program communications and understand how the site is used.
These providers process personal information on our behalf under their own contractual and security obligations. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
6. No Sale or Sharing; No Advertising Use
The Institute does not sell personal information and does not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use your data to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Examination records, completion records, and credential records are retained as the certification and CLE audit trail for as long as a credential is outstanding, and thereafter as required for regulatory, audit, and verification purposes. Purchase records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes. Communications are retained as long as reasonably necessary to administer the relationship and address any disputes.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing [email protected]. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Please note an important limit: deletion cannot extend to records the Institute must retain for credential verification and regulatory or audit purposes while a credential is outstanding. If you hold an active credential, your certification record, including examination scores and the public verification page, must be maintained for the credential to remain valid. If you prefer complete deletion, you may surrender the credential, after which we will delete records we are not otherwise required to keep.
9. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you the right to: (a) know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the purposes of collection, and the categories of parties to whom we disclose it (this Policy is our disclosure of those practices); (b) access the personal information we hold about you; (c) correct inaccurate personal information; (d) delete personal information, subject to the retention limits described in Section 8 and the exceptions recognized by the statute, including completing the transaction for which the information was collected and complying with legal obligations; and (e) not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
The Institute does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. You may use an authorized agent as permitted by the CCPA/CPRA; we will require verification of the agent's authority.
10. Security
We rely on established platforms (Thinkific, our payment processor, and Sertifier) that maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the data they process, and we limit access to personal information to those who need it to operate the programs. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
11. Children
The Institute provides professional education for adults. The site and programs are intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will be posted on this site. If we make material changes to how we handle personal information already collected, we will provide notice through the site or by email before the changes take effect.
13. Contact
Questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Policy or your personal information may be directed to [email protected]. Legal notices to Solari LLC, doing business as The Solari Institute, should be sent to the same address.
